1. Plot the 8 results from your table on Worksheet 1 on the graph.

2. In words, what is the relation between the input and the output (between the number of turns of the large cog-wheel and number of turns of the small wheel)?

3. With your partner(s) find two ways – one using the graph and one using calculation – to predict the output value when the input value is 10. Decide which of these ways you have to use if the input value is 20.

4. Now use x to stand for the input, and y for the output and write an equation for the relationship.
